It Conquers Me.

The rush streams along the veins in my body.
It becomes one with my heart.
A new soul, reawakened from a deep slumber,
A new animated body,
Dominates the beautiful mind and the works,
Conquers me.

The Berlin Wall that barricades and protects,
Now demolished, destroyed, disassembled,
As the Rush cascades through, and whispers silent words,
As it reaches in, with its welcoming and inviting arms,
It slows the beat of my heart, with grace, with honour, with love,
Conquers me.

The Rush disseminates in me,
With haste, it conquers me,
Again, I can still here its loving message,
Like the wind whispering in the dark and icy night,
"Forever Thine, Forever Mine, Forever Ours,"
Conquers Me.

  1. This reminds me of one famous quote by Julious Ceaser, "Veni, vidi, vici!"
